You, the case manager, are very important in helping to identify individuals who may need our services. The following information is designed to streamline the process for obtaining essential services for seniors such as Meals on Wheels, Personal Care Aides, Homemakers, Sitter Services, Adult Day Care and Transportation.
Home Delivered Meals Hot meals are available Monday – Friday at lunchtime. Frozen meals are available for nights and/or weekends.
The private pay cost per meal (hot or frozen) is $5.00.
In-home Services
Personal care, homemaker and sitter services are charged on an hourly basis, please see the Description of Services form.
Transportation
Transportation is charged on a per mile basis according to the Description of Services.
A prepayment of $100.00 is required to initiate all private pay services. This prepayment is applied to the cost of the first month’s services. Once we receive the completed private pay agreement with the $100.00 prepayment, services can usually be started within two days.There is no sliding fee scale for private pay services. All of the above services can be initiated on a private pay basis, even when grant funding is limited. Please contact Senior Citizens, Inc. directly to initiate services on a private pay basis.
There is currently a waiting list for services through many grant-funded programs. Senior Citizens, Inc. does not manage the waiting lists for grant-funded programs. The appropriate contact agency for services through the Community Care Services Program and older adult programs is the Coastal Area Agency on Aging 1-800-580-6890. Clients who receive SSI may also wish to contact the SOURCE Program at 819-1520.
