There are many ways that you can support Senior Citizens, Inc. to help us continue our mission of helping people age successfully.

 

Monetary Donation

Gifts of cash are the simplest and most common way of making a contribution.  Types of contributions: cash, securities (public traded or closely held), insurance policies, real estate, personal property, retirement assets, estate planning, memorial tribute, grants, and bequests are also accepted.

 

In Kind Donation

The donation of services or products is a way to support Senior Citizens Inc. without a monetary gift.  Throughout the year, purchases of necessities such as office supplies and equipment, printing and advertising, vehicle maintenance, catering and decorating services for our fundraising events, and much, much more.  Check our “Wish List” for ideas.

 

Matching Gifts

Make your donation to Senior Citizens Inc. go further by participating in your company’s matching gift program.  Before making your gift, check to see if your organization has a matching gifts program, if so, request a matching gift form and send it, completed and signed, with your gift to Senior Citizens, Inc.

Specific allocation of a donation

Your donation can be used for general support or allocated to a specific Senior Citizens, Inc. program(s) or choose from one of Senior Citizens, Inc.established funds.

            Emergency Fund – The Emergency Fund is set up to provide immediate, short-term support to homebound low-income seniors who are in imminent danger of institutionalization.  These funds pay for the senior to receive necessary meals while the paperwork is processed to add them to a permanent grant source.   

 

Veterans' Fund – This fund is established to provide support for Veterans aged 60 or older with home delivered meals, companion services, in-home care and more.

 

            Endowment Fund – The Endowment Fund receives contributions and property to be invested and reinvested so that the principal remains intact while income is produced from capital appreciation, dividends and interest.  All income in the Endowment Fund is accumulated until such time as the Board of Directors deems distributions are appropriate.

Making a contribution

Senior Citizens, Inc. accepts cash, checks, American Express, Visa and MasterCard contributions.  These contributions can be mailed directly to the Senior Citizens, Inc. offices at:

Tax incentive

Contributions to Senior Citizens, Inc. are considered contributions to a charitable and educational organization under the Internal Revenue Code 501 (c)(3) and, as such, are tax deductible for the donor.
