Be a Companion

The Senior Companion Program is a group of seniors who assist other seniors. Here are a few examples of how the program helps others to maintain independence in their own homes.

Companions …

…assist with daily living tasks like grocery shopping and bill paying.

…help provide friendship and companionship.

…provide respite to family caregivers.

Does the program work in its effort to help the overall quality of life? Yes.

Studies show that 88% of family members, caregivers, and clients served report that the service provided by a Senior Companions helped them improve their quality of life.

Not only does the program help those who are homebound, but it helps seniors in our community care for others.
